Well, many of us have taken numerable resolutions on many new year evenings. The initial enthusiasm and grit lapses off very soon and most of us are not able to follow our resolutions beyond a few days/weeks or may be months (in some cases).

I believe, the right time to take a new year resolution is now, a few days before the new year evening. That way, we allow ourselves a head-start. Some time for us to experience the initial hurdles and foresee the new ones. It can help us develop the right attitude in our minds. It also provides with some margin to err, a rare thing if we take the resolution in the New Year itself.

And most importantly, we can build on our initial successes and not allow our mind to play games with us then.

I have taken mine, have you?
