We look up to some people in our lives so that we can become like them or at least achieve success like them. I observed some common patterns amongst these role models:

  • We tend to look up to someone who is successful, more often than not, immensely successful in her field.
  • You will find that they think big, they would have often thought big right from the stage they started dreaming.
  • Mostly, a person at the top of his field will be humble. If not, he will become one.
  • Probe them and you will find that they would have failed innumerable times before reaching where they are. In fact, they would attribute their success to these failures and the consequent learning from them.
  • They would not be satisfied yet. The hunger to perform better will keep growing more and more.
  • They are very disciplined and are good time managers.
