Another of Seth Godin’s wonderful posts very well articulates the boundary between ‘love what you do’ and ‘do what you love’:
Instead of, “do what you love,” perhaps the more effective mantra for the entrepreneur, the linchpin and maker of change might be, “love what you do.”
If we can fall in love with serving people, creating value, solving problems, building valuable connections and doing work that matters, it makes it far more likely we’re going to do important work.
I would say that the choice is not that black and white most of the times. Entrepreneurs need to start with ‘do what you love’ and stick to ‘love what you do’ during the journey.
They will soon get to the right path for them.
