We try to emulate our cherished leaders. We try to observe their actions, listen their talks, hear about them from colleagues and read about them in media. And we try to learn, from all these sources, – the art of leadership.
Or do we really?
The real learning not only happens by observing their actions but their mindsets, leadership through mind reading. Try asking these questions everytime:
- What really drove those actions?
- How and why did they think and act that way?
- What they might have done to form this behavior?
- What habits contributed towards the traits of her, you observed in an incident?
You may not be able to find all answers, but the process of exploration would start at least. And, very soon, you would start finding your own answers, answers which are tailored for you and meant for you. So, start somewhere now.
