Recently, I was listening to a senior executive share his life experiences with the audience.

One thing stuck me in particular. He said that a person does not become a leader by his title only. It is a combination of his attitude and skills which contribute towards making of a leader.

A leader takes initiatives on her own without being asked to.

A leader strives to do just that extra bit which others are afraid to think or do.

A leader sets an example by charting out in the unknown territories.

It is this continuous demonstration of leadership which takes him up the corporate ladder and shapes a great leader for the organization.
